The drill bit of the wood testing device IML-RESI power drill is equipped with an especially long-lasting surface coating. Nonetheless, it must be replaced at some point to ensure reliable measurement results. With the help of the automatic drill bit replacement feature, you can replace the drill bit easily and quickly.

Removal of old drill bit

First, select the drill bit symbol in the main menu using the navigation dial. It is located in the upper right of the display. After pressing the navigation dial for confirmation, you will be in the drill bit menu. There, the symbol for automatic drill bit replacement is already selected. Now, you simply have to press the navigation dial again and the device automatically extends the drill bit until it is in replacement position. Thereafter, the device will ask you to hold on to the drill bit. For this, use the pliers supplied for this purpose and grab the drill bit firmly at the end. Press “ok” and the drill bit is released. Now you can remove the old drill bit.

Insertion of new drill bit

Insert a new drill bit and hold it again firmly at the end using the pliers. Gently push the bit against the drill chuck and press the navigation dial. Let go of the bit only when it starts moving inwards. The device positions the new bit in the correct end position. The drill bit replacement has been completed successfully.
