Europa-Park and Its Green Paradise: Tree Maintenance and Safety with the IML-RESI PowerDrill®

Since its opening in the summer of 1975, Europa-Park has made a name for itself not only with over 100 attractions and international shows but also with its stunning landscape design. Spanning 95 hectares, Germany’s largest amusement park is home to more than 5,000 trees from 400 different species, creating a lush green oasis that gives the park its unique charm.

More than 80 different tree species, including exotic varieties such as the tree of heaven, sweetgum trees, and even 30 giant sequoias, contribute to the park’s impressive botanical diversity, surprising and delighting visitors.

However, maintaining this green splendor requires much more than occasional watering and pruning. In a park visited by millions of people each year, ensuring the safety of the trees is crucial to the well-being of guests.

To achieve this, Europa-Park relies on modern technology and continuous tree inspections—an area where the park trusts the precise results of the IML-RESI PowerDrill®.

Felix Klaiber, a certified tree inspector and forester, and his team regularly assess the stability of each tree and check for potential hazards that could pose a risk to park visitors.

“With the IML-RESI PowerDrill®, we can ensure the safety of both the trees and our guests at all times,” explains Klaiber. “The PowerDrill® helps us identify potential risks early on and take timely action to prevent any dangers.”

Through precise tree inspections and the use of cutting-edge technology, Europa-Park ensures that its trees continue to provide a breathtaking backdrop for its attractions without posing any safety risks. Thanks to the dedicated team led by Felix Klaiber and the park’s experienced gardening staff, Europa-Park remains not only a place for unforgettable experiences but also a green paradise that preserves its natural beauty. This way, Europa-Park will continue to be a safe and enchanting destination for all visitors in the years to come.
