Typically, our devices are known for use in tree assessments, playground inspections, or pole testing. However, the IML-RESI PowerDrill® offers far greater potential, as demonstrated during a training session aboard the frigate D. Fernando II e Glória in Portugal.
Even complex wooden structures, such as a historic ship, can be inspected with ease using our device. A few weeks ago, this was successfully carried out together with our partner TerraGes in Portugal and our PowerDrill expert Bernd.

Together, they were able to assess the internal condition of the wood and gather valuable information for a thorough and sustainable restoration.
The inspection was conducted directly with the carpenters responsible for the restoration, ensuring a targeted and precise examination. An additional challenge was to consider metal structures and electrical wiring in order to avoid any damage.

We would like to thank Rodrigo Vieira from TerraGes and our colleague Bernd for providing fascinating insights into yet another application of our IML-RESI PowerDrill®.
